Financial Assistance For Rural Facilities

South Ayrshire Council’s Provost’s Panel has approved requests for financial assistance from a number of local and national groups who are either voluntary organizations or provide arts or culture related activities.

Depute Provost Mary Kilpatrick, Chair of the Panel said: “The organisations that have been given financial assistance by the Panel play a very positive role in local communities. They provide support or additional services which benefit people of varying ages and needs across South Ayrshire.”

The organisations who will now receive funding as follows:

Council for Voluntary Organisations in Kyle and Carrick - £9,240
The funding will be used to assist with core funding to maintain activities and operational costs to sustain support services to voluntary organisations throughout South Ayrshire. The financial assistance will help to deliver quality services, build capacity and infrastructure of South Ayrshire groups, promote and enable representation in Community Planning and Community Engagement.

Girvan and District Visually Impaired Group - £1,056
To assist with let costs, general administration, outings, etc

The Keynote Trust Ltd - £3,520
To assist with funding regular staff costs for music and singing tutors, premises and concert.

Deafblind Scotland - £3,205
To provide information, advice, support, holidays, outings, clubs, monthly newsletters in special format, special interests groups and outdoor activities. Also to provide support and information to families, carers and professionals who work with deafblind people.
