Three Community Councils have been given funding totalling £6,891 for civic pride projects by members of South Ayrshire Council’s Provost’s Panel. After members of the Panel considered the applications from each Community Council they decided that each of the projects would enrich and promote pride in the community and granted the undernoted funding. Barr Community Council - £1,892 - to restore and paint a monumental fountain and decorative lampposts. Kirkoswald, Maidens and Turnberry Community Council - £3,000 - to produce a quality calendar, based on local photographs, featuring contact number and local information. Pinmore and Pinwherry Community Council - £2,000 - for a tourism related initiative that will include information boards, flower tubs and leaflets and awareness raising sessions with young people.
