Mainholm Academy will close at the end of June 2007 following a decision by members of South Ayrshire Council. 
Two Ayr Primary Schools Become One

Following an investigation by Officers from South Ayrshire Council’s Trading Standards Section, John Hamilton from Ayr has been sentenced to a 125 hour Community Service Order for contravening the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the Trade Marks Act 1994.
