All South Ayrshire library cards are being updated to enable them to cope with new technology that will be used in the future to provide a more efficient service.

The replacement of cards will start on Monday 4 September 2006 within Forehill Library and will be phased in across all South Ayrshire libraries.

The new cards are colourful and have a distinctive design and are being issued as  part of the Council’s ongoing activities to improve the library service.  This has provided an ideal opportunity to complete a re-registration of borrowers.

If you have an old style card staff will take it from you, confirm your details and then issue you with a new style card.

The new library cards have distinctive design on one side and room for the name of the cardholder on the reverse.
