The children from Dundonald After School Care Club invited two special guests to their Christmas party, Councillor Pam Paterson, the Convener of South Ayrshire Council’s Lifelong Learning Committee and Santa.

The Council operates five After School Care Clubs in South Ayrshire, including the one in Dundonald.  The Clubs were originally funded through the Big Lottery Fund but now operate as part of the Council’s mainline services. 

Councillor Paterson, the Convener of the Council’s Lifelong Learning Committee said:  “The Council operates After School Care Clubs at four Activity Centres, each one provides good quality affordable childcare.  It was lovely to see all the children having such a wonderful time at their Christmas party, playing games, meeting Santa and getting a gift from him. I was thrilled to be invited to join in the fun of the party and also to have a chance to speak to the guest of honour, Santa.”

The Council’s After School Care Clubs provide a fun atmosphere where children can take part in a range of activities and crafts.  All the Clubs are registered with the Care Commission and all staff have the relevant Child Care Qualifications.

The five Clubs operate in Tarbolton, Mossblown, Dundonald, Symington, and Coylton and are open from 3 pm to 6 pm Monday to Friday.

During Easter, Summer Holidays and the October Week Holiday the Clubs in Coylton, Mossblown and The Dropzone at the Citadel Leisure Centre are open from 8 am to 6 pm.
