South Ayrshire Council Provost Winifred Sloan will present the Tom Lehman Golf Trophies to the winners of the one day Junior Golf Championship.

The competition, which consists of five separate handicap competitions, will be played on Tuesday 1 August 2006 over the Council’s popular Lochgreen, Darley and Fullarton golf courses.

The Junior Open, an Order of Merit event for Ayrshire boys for the third successive year, is firmly established as one of the top events for young golfers in Scotland. Now in its ninth year, the competition attracts more entrants each year with 470 entrants taking part in the 2005 competition.
