IMPORTANT HEALTH WARNING

South Ayrshire Council’s Environmental Health Section has been informed by the Foods Standards Agency that batches of Rajah Premium Hot Curry Powder and Rajah Premium Mild Curry Powder have been withdrawn from sale because they contain the illegal dye Sudan 1.

The affected products were manufactured by BE International Foods in 100g tins and 425g tins and have a best before date of up to and including June 2008. The products also come in a 400g packet with a best before date of June 2007. The products mentioned were sold in a variety of supermarkets and small retail shops.

Any products with later best before dates than those stated above are not affected.

Anyone who has any of these products should dispose of them appropriately or call the manufacturers customer helpline on 0800 072 4090 to arrange for a refund and collection of the product.
