Draft South Ayrshire Local Plan
The Council published the Consultation Draft South Ayrshire Local Plan in September 1999 for public consultation and comment. A total of 1,039 written representations were received. These were considered by the Council in its preparation of this Local Plan. A brief account of the steps taken by the Council to secure publicity through publication of the Consultation Draft Local Plan and the consideration of views received is set out in the Council's "Statement on Publicity and Public Consultation" which is published separately.
The National Planning Context
The
Local Plan has been prepared in accordance with the relevant provisions
of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, the Town
and Country Planning (Structure and Local Plans) (Scotland) Regulations
1983, and relevant Circulars. Due regard has also been had to
the National Planning Policy Guidelines and Planning Advice Notes
published by the Scottish Government.
