Using Try IT CyberCentres
About
the Service
The CyberCentre offers the public access to 11 PCs. All of these
computers are linked to the Internet. With the assistance of staff
you will be guided through the ever increasing world of on-line
information. The Centre also has an extensive range of CD ROM's
and software applications.
Who
can use the service?
The CyberCentre can be used by both adults and children who are
members of South Ayrshire Libraries. All levels of ability are
catered for and there is always a member of staff around to help.
Children under 10 years of age should be accompanied by an adult.
How
do I book a session?
Sessions can be booked in advance by person or over the telephone
(Tel. 01292 618492). Customers can also drop in to use a PC, but
we cannot guarantee a computer will be available. Advanced booking
is recommend.

Use Policy
Customers using the Internet are asked to adhere to our Acceptable
Use Policy set out below :

If you use the Internet in the CyberCentre we ask that
you do not access, create or transmit anything that is designed
to, or likely to, cause offence or needless anxiety to anyone.
Customers who contravene this policy will have their Internet
session terminated.

Conditions
of Use
Please check-in with CyberCentre staff before using the computers
Please do not bring food and drink into the Centre as wet and sticky
keyboards don't work very well !
Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult
Children aged 12-16 must have a SMART
card to use the Internet unsupervised. Please ask CyberCentre staff
for more details.
