Lending Library
How
do I join the library?
Library membership is open to everyone; you can join at
any of our branches. You will need to fill in a membership form,
and provide some proof of identification eg. a driving licence,
or anything with your name and address on it, such as an old
utility bill. You will be given a library card that can be used
at any of our online libraries. Find your
nearest library.
Please let us know if you change your name or address.
What
if I lose my library card?
Just let us know as soon as possible if you lose your card.
A small charge will be made for a replacement.
How
many items can I borrow ?
You can borrow up to 8 items for 4 weeks. You can also hire

What
can I borrow?
We have a wide range of fiction and non-fiction
for you to choose from: everything from classics to the
latest bestsellers; biographies, travel, cookery, history and
much more. Some titles are also available in larger print. You
can also borrow language courses; audiobooks on compact disc
and cassette; flexible learning courses; and videos and DVDs

The
title I want is not available.
If you want a particular title that is not in the library,
you can reserve it by filling in a request card. We will notify
you when a copy is available for you to borrow. There is a small
charge for this service.
We may be able to obtain specialist or out-of-print items through
the inter-library loan scheme. There is an additional charge for
this service, but you will be asked if you wish to proceed with
your request before that happens.
