Try IT CyberCentres
Scotland's first public library CyberCentre opened on 14th June,
1996. It is located on the ground floor of Carnegie
Library, offering the people of South Ayrshire easy access
to computer technology and FREE Internet access.
Since then, South Ayrshire has opened a second CyberCentre in
Maybole Library and spring
1999 saw the launch of a third CyberCentre in Tarbolton
Library.

Provide free Internet access
Support independent learners in gaining basic ICT skills
Provide a range of computer based and book based learning material
that independent learners can work through at their own pace and
a time that suits them.
Provide ECDL training materials and assements.
Provide adaptive technology for users with special needs which
is suitable for use in a library environment.
Provide access to Microsoft Office software for use in the CyberCentres
Provide a collection of CD ROM's and other multimedia based information
resources.
