The Lovely Bones, Alice Sebold

 

This is a lovely book that you will either love or hate. Needless to say I loved it and couldn't put it down, something I find rare in the much-hyped prize winning books of today.

It offers hope despite the initial murder of a young girl by a paedophile. From her teenage house-sharing heaven she observes her family's long struggle to come to terms with her death. It is very sympathetically written.

Recommended reading, but more of a female read. StarStarStarStar
