system serving over 114,248 residents living in the area. The library
service covers the towns of Ayr, Prestwick, Troon, Maybole and Girvan
as well as rural communities. South Ayrshire operates fourteen branch
libraries, a mobile
library service and the main library for the district is Carnegie
Library in Ayr.
