About the Citadel Leisure Centre
The Citadel Leisure Centre is a multi activity sports and entertainments facility.
The Main Hall (34m x 27m) can be used for a variety of sports including football,
basketball, badminton, hockey and netball. The flexibility of this space also makes
it ideal for conferences, trade events and concerts.
Swimming Facilities at the Citadel include 3 swimming pools. The main pool, a 25m, 6 lane pool,
teaching pool and a flexi pool with moveable floor. All pools have disabled access and host a
number of water based activities including early birds, fun kid's sessions and diving to club
activities, lessons and aqua aerobics.
Female, male and communal changing facilities are available. A 300 seat spectator's
gallery also overlooks the main swimming pool.
Our sauna suite consists of 2 Finnish sauna cabins, an aromatherapy essence steam room, plunge
pool, jacuzzi and rest room with tv and loungers. There are separate ladies and gents changing areas.
The Citadel is also home to our largest Genesis Gymnasium and dance studio which
is the venue for an extensive fitness class programme.
The Small Meeting Room and Conference Room are ideal for hosting meetings, training
sessions and workshops.
Other facilities offered at the Citadel include squash courts, Upper Crust cafeteria, and a
creche facility.
