Pharmacy Services

Direct Care

This service aims to provide more direct treatment and advice to patients who are exempt from paying NHS prescription charges. You need to register with a pharmacist to use this service. Once registered, you will be able to receive advice and/or medication for common ailments.

Smoking Cessation Service

If you feel ready to quit smoking, or had recently quit smoking but still feel that you may need a little help, then you can receive practical advice and support form your community pharmacy. Participating pharmacies may be able to supply you with a course of nicotine replacement therapy if appropriate.

Emergency Contraception

Emergency contraception is available from some pharmacies. See Sexual Health section for more details.
