These services are for you if you:
- Suffer the effects of continuing mental ill-health
- Are aged between 18 and 65
- Reside in South Ayrshire
Turnaround Drop-In Centre
Café Turnaround, the drop-in centre, offers a complete café service in a modern gallery style setting. The menu includes homegrown organic produce (when in season) and a variety of healthy eating options. The drop-in centre provides company, conversation, arts and crafts, recreational and social activities, information on a wide variety of activities and organisations. They also provide laundry and bathing facilities. Other services include an organic gardening initiative, access to information technology and free internet access during opening hours and a wide ranging activity programme.
Voice Advocacy Service
This service provides an individual advocacy service to residents of South Ayrshire with enduring mental health needs. An advocate will:
- Listen and support you in putting your views across
- Ensure that youare included in all decisions
- attend meetings with you
- Provide you with information
- Be honest and truthful with you
An advocate will not:
- Talk about you to anyone without your permission
- Make decisions for you
- Make promises which can’t be kept
