Troon Golf Week is open to all amateur golfers who are members of a recognised golf club and are holders of a senior club handicap. Play will be in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and with the local rules supplied by the committee to each member on acceptance of entry.

Preferred times are not guaranteed.

No refund will be given in the event of cancellation due to bad weather conditions. Full conditions will be issued after the closing date when the draw is posted to each competitor.

Open to gentlemen

Two qualifying rounds, one over Lochgreen, one over Darley on Monday and Tuesday then: The 16 players returning the lowest scratch aggregate scores qualify for matchplay over Darley and Lochgreen on Thursday and Friday in the Mills Quaich Tournament. (participation is optional).

The 16 players returning the lowest net aggregate scores qualify for matchplay over Darley and Lochgreen on Thursday and Friday in the Troon Rosebowl Tournament under full handicap (participation is optional).

Maximum Handicap 24. Players with a higher handicap may enter but will be restricted to a handicap of 24. Any change in handicap must be notified to the Starter when checking in for the first competition. Players will then retain that handicap for the duration of Troon Golf week.

Over Darley Golf Course on Wednesday 20th August
Entry forms will be issued at the event. 3/4 Handicap applies.

CHARLES BUCHANAN VETERAN SHIELD
Over Lochgreen Golf Course on Wednesday 20th August. Open to gentlemen of 50 or over on 1st January 2008. Entry £6


STABLEFORD COMPETITION
Over Lochgreen Golf Course on Thursday 21st August
Stableford rules. Full handicap applies. Entry forms will be issued at the event.

CONSOLATION TOURNAMENT
Over Darley Golf Course on Friday 22nd August. Entry forms will be issued at the event.
