School Travel Plans

A School Travel Plan is a written document which outlines a series of practical steps for improving children’s safety on the journey to and from school.

There are many benefits of developing a travel plan; it should have an impact for pupils, staff, parents and the wider community. It will aim to assist pupils and parents in identifying healthy and sustainable transport options whilst helping to reduce the number of cars on the road at peak times and overall contributing to the improvement of the environment around their school.
