In law it is the parents' responsibility to ensure that their children attend school and make suitable travel arrangements for them.

It's important to discuss travel arrangements with your child and to consider all the options available. The Road Safety team, are currently working to provide maps for all schools, highlighting crossing facilities, off-road routes and other useful information points for the school journey.

South Ayrshire also has an extensive cycling network, to view a map of the cycling network. Hard copies of the map can also be obtained from the Roads Services section at Burns House.

For more information, please contact the road safety team on 01292 616371.
