Getting It Right for Every Child

Parents/Carers

Barnardo's

Barnardo’s South Ayrshire Families and Women in Focus services support families, young people and children who are experiencing homelessness or who are affected by their parents/carers substance misuse or offending behaviour.

We can help by:

  • Being available to support you and your family
  • Providing practical support
  • Providing advice and information about your rights and responsibilities
  • Providing information and help to access services and resources
  • Providing support and play opportunities for children and young people

How do we do that:

  • We believe that an open and trusting relationship is important in providing services and will work hard to create and keep that relationship with you
  • We will work alongside you to make sure that you are safe and well
  • We will work hard to make sure that you have equal access to education, play, health and employment opportunities
  • We will listen to your views on the service we provide and make any changes necessary
  • We will actively involve you in the service and any decisions which affect you or your family
  • We aim to treat everyone with respect and want to know if we do not achieve that intention

How to contact us

  • By telephone on 01292 610479 – you can leave a message if we are not around
  • By asking someone from another agency to contact us on your behalf.
  • We can meet you at a suitable time and place anywhere in South Ayrshire.

Our core office hours are between Monday and Friday - 9,00am - 5.00 pm although we can be flexible in terms of when we see you. We also run some planned evening groups.
