Important Information for Visitors – Building Works
In 2010, essential building works at Rozelle will commence in mid April and continue throughout the year. Rozelle House is scheduled to close to the public after Easter until the end of September, reopening to the public in October.
The House will reopen in early October with:
Goudie’s ‘Tam o’Shanter’ series
The Ayrshire Yeomanry Museum
‘Robert Bryden – Life, Work and Legacy’.
The Craft Shop, stocked for Christmas
The Maclaurin Galleries will remain OPEN during the spring, summer and autumn period with a changing programme of exhibitions. The galleries will then close in November until early January 2011.
Rozelle Tearoom will remain OPEN throughout the spring, summer and autumn period, and will then close in November. From May through to September, Rozelle Craft Shop will relocate on a temporary basis to one of the Maclaurin galleries.
There should always be something to see at Rozelle and the Maclaurin. Ground level access will be maintained to the galleries, tearoom and toilet facilities. However, as work progresses, there may be the need for brief closure of certain areas. Also, due to the scale of the job and working in an 18th century, ‘A’ listed building, adjustments to the timetable may be required. Disruption, where possible, will be kept to a minimum.
Visitors, especially those travelling from a distance, are advised to check opening hours in advance of their visit. Please contact Rozelle if you require further information:
