Strathclyde Fire and Rescue and Strathclyde Police carry out fire and police services on behalf of the Council. The South Ayrshire Licensing Board has responsibility for licensing the sale of alcohol and for betting in South Ayrshire. Each of these statutory authorities has its own publication scheme. In addition, the Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board carries out assessor and electoral registration services for the Council; each of these functions has its own publication scheme.
