Equality and Diversity
Member Officer Group
In 2006 the Council's Policy and Resources Committee established a Member Officer
Group on Equality and Diversity. The remit of the group is:
- to ensure that the Council takes all necessary steps to comply with current and
forthcoming equalities legislation;
- to ensure that the Council's implementation of its equalities duties is consistent
with best value; and
- to support and facilitate the mainstreaming of equalities work in all departments
of the Council.
