Food Premises Registration

If you own a food business in South Ayrshire or have recently taken over an existing business, it is a legal requirement for you to register with the Food Safety Team at least 28 days before opening or taking over. Registration is free of charge.

Our database of businesses is used to arrange a programme of inspections according to individual risk assessments and to share information with businesses about particular hazard warnings.
