The correct disposal of the waste that we cannot reuse or recycle is just as important as any one of the 3R’s. Waste if not correctly dealt with causes pollution to air, land and water, which in turn can cause us health problems, destroy habitats and endangers wildlife.
South Ayrshire Council provides a waste collection service to all domestic properties and to those commercial properties that wish it. In addition the local authority offers a special uplift service to householders who have large quantities of waste or bulky items that they wish to dispose of.
Within the authority the council has a number of civic amenity sites and recycling centres to which the general public can take their waste.
