Air Pollution

Our atmosphere is under more and more pressure from gases such as Carbon dioxide, from the burning of fossil fuels; C.F.C.’s (Chloroflorocarbons) from aerosols, fridge’s and freezers. Sulphur dioxide, Nitrogen oxides and Methane are the other main gases found to be polluting our atmosphere. There has also been an increase of very fine particulates in our atmosphere, which come from diesel and other forms of combustion.

The increase of these gases in our atmosphere is directly linked to: -

Air Pollution

By making simple changes to our lifestyle we can improve the earth’s atmosphere and so improve our standard of life. All we have to do is think a little e.g. remember to switch off lights when they are not needed and turn down the heating just a little (saves energy, saves money); recycle whenever possible (saves resources, saves energy); reduce the amount that we use the car (saves energy, saves money... ...improves your health).
