South Ayrshire Local Transport Strategy

Multi-Modal Stations: Facilities designed to promote the integration of transport modes at stations have been introduced at Prestwick Town, Troon, Barrhill, Newton-on-Ayr, Maybole and Girvan. Infrastructure improvements include the introduction of raised kerbs for “level boarding” of buses, cycle lockers, enhanced pedestrian facilities as well as CCTV and lighting improvements to increase security.
