Council Services

Location: Burns House, Ayr

Infrastructure provides the Council with professional services across a wide range of functions including architecture, civil engineering, coastal protection, estates management, property maintenance and management, quantity surveying, roads policy, roads related and marine structures, road safety, street lighting and transportation. The Team also has a major role in the planning, monitoring and delivery of the Council's General Services and Housing Capital Programmes.

In addition, Infrastructure provides the Director of ELP with management systems, which will assist the Department and the Council in the delivery of the Best Value agenda to meet the requirements of the new Local Government In Scotland Act 2003. The Team is also assisting in the development of a corporate a risk register, which will ultimately inform the Council's risk management system.
