Community participation requests
On 1 April regulations come into effect setting out the procedure for community organisations to make “community participation requests”.
This procedure enables any community group in receipt of a service provided by a public body to become involved in service improvement where they feel it
is needed and where they feel that they can help to bring it about.
Information about the procedures for making these requests and guidance can be found on the Scottish Government’s website at
formal requests made to South Ayrshire Council should be addressed to Ralph.Riddiough@south-ayrshire.gov.uk .
South Ayrshire Council is committed to continuous service improvement and recognises the crucial role of service user involvement in that process. If you are a community group
in receipt of a service from South Ayrshire Council and you feel it could be improved your participation is welcome. For an initial point of contact with the Council on taking
your participation request forward please contact us at CommunityEngagement@south-ayrshire.gov.uk.
