South Ayrshire – the best place to grow, learn and play

The Scottish Government launched Scotland’s first Play Strategy in June 2013 which articulates the critical importance of play as well as an obligation to protect children’s ability to play.

Our ambition - "South Ayrshire – the best place to grow, learn and play"

South Ayrshire Council is seeking your views and the views of our parents/carers on:

  • Where children play
  • Outdoor Play
  • Who children play with
  • Play sessions available
  • How often children play

We welcome your comments on the above to help shape a Play Strategy for Early Learning and Childcare across South Ayrshire.

Please find below 2 survey monkey questionnaires, one for yourselves and another for parents/carers.

Consultation organisations/services - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/FPCCBSZ

Consultation parents/carers - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/F6PB2MB

View a consultation format that allows children to become involved in shaping our future provision. It would be much appreciated if you have time amongst all the Christmas preparations to engage with children of all ages to find out their views and aspirations.

Please could you return completed children’s consultations to diane.hodge@south-ayrshire.gov.uk or post to Diane Hodge, Burns House, Burns Statue Square, Ayr, KA7 1UT.

Closing date is the 19th December.

Please feel free to share with any colleagues that may be interested.
