Early Learning and Childcare - Parents/Carers Survey 2015

Since the introduction of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, we have changed how we deliver early learning and childcare. We now provide 600 hours in all our nursery schools, classes and partnership centres. In August 2015, 10 local authority establishments offered two and a half days (within nursery hours). Generally, this is provided at the start of the week or the end of the week.

This consultation will help us to plan how we further increase the flexibility of early learning and childcare services across the authority.

Changing services takes time and we acknowledge that it will not be possible to achieve full flexibility as soon as we would like. We will carry out a further consultation in 2 years time that will continue to help us plan and improve services.

Closing date: 23 November 2015.
