Before you apply for a building warrant please ensure you have read this helpful guide produced
by South Ayrshire Council Building Standards to determine the most efficient way to submit your building
Apply online - eBuildingstandards
Please ensure you have met our local requirement before you submit your application online. At this time we request that you submit plans and drawings online
only on A3 or smaller, this will help South Ayrshire Council process your application more efficiently. At this time we are unable to accept documents
that cannot be printed to scale at A3 or A4. Please note: If you cannot reduce your documents to be printed at A3 or A4, you may be asked to submit hard copies
of these to us therefore we will continue to accept and assess all other Building Warrant Paper Applications (including follow up documentation) as normal.
Submit your Building Warrant online via the national portal at eDevelopment.scot.
The Scottish Government have made changes to the way Building Warrant submissions are made. Scotland's eBuilding Standards online applications
service was launched on the 24 August 2016.
This enables the electronic submission of applications for building warrants and other related forms, such as completion certificates. It also enables
multiple site users to collaborate in producing any single application online.
You can still submit your Building Warrant and supporting documentation using paper form.
If you cannot reduce your documents to be printed at A3 or A4, this is the most efficient way to submit your Building Warrant submission
at this time.
Application forms which need to be signed require printing
out. Please post completed forms to the address shown below. Forms which
do not need to be signed can be returned by email.
