About Troon

Troon is famous for it's Royal Troon golf course, one of the hosts to the Open Golf Championship and there are also other golf courses available.

Troon is situated about eight miles north of Ayr and three miles northwest of Glasgow Prestwick International Airport.

Troon is a port with frieght and ferry services including a service to Larne in Northern Ireland. Troon's bustling harbour is a magnet for anglers, sightseers and yachting enthusiasts who can enjoy the first-class facilities of the Troon Yacht Haven, one of the Clyde's leading sailing centres.
